This 110 NAS has a blue HDD led but no status led. The Seagate discovery tool does not detect it. The lights by the ethernet port are not lit. I have tried a different cable. When connected it to a different router the lights by the Ethernet port lit up but it is still not discoverable. Neither router shows it as a connected device. Pushing and holding the reset button on the bottom has no effect, both leds on the front do not change (hdd led stays blue).
Is there a way get access to the hdd without deleting everything?
How do you open the case to get to the hdd?

How to open the box ...
http://crapnas.blogspot.com.au/2010/04/opening-box.htmlTo access your files, and assuming that the HDD is OK, try Linux Reader for Windows or hook the drive up to a Linux box:
