I've been looking for a Fujitsu 2.5" 250GB model MJA2250BH, P/N CA07083-B50400AP donor drive and they are scarce. Can anyone suggest alternatives or tell me what parameters are critical for compatibility? Or are they like Toshibas and almost anything goes?

Thanks, jermy but like most other suppliers, they are "Out of Stock!" I managed to find one at donordrives.com and they are kindly holding it for a day while my customer mulls the cost. I'd still be interested to know if one of the donors I have in hand might do the job.

That's what I have been using/doing. Was just hoping there is more flexibility but I'm probably a dreamer.

If you have in stock something similar - just try.

I would, but I don't have anything similar that doesn't have bad heads, unfortunately.

They seem to be quite flexible if you can match the series and the headmap.
Like a MJA2160BH donor would work for a MJA2250BH patient if headmap is the same.
