Does anyone here offer recovery service for Hitachi HDS72101

October 8th, 2015, 5:08

HDS721010CLA332

Drive is not detected on bootup nor in Bios. Drive is making beeping sounds and I suspect a drive head problem.

I'm looking for someone who can help recover the data. There is 1 tb of media files. Do let me know how much you charge too. I'm open to services from any country, I can ship the drive over.

Thank you.

This is a decent company so I hear, but I don't believe he does cleanroom work which WILL be required in this case.

Yes, you are right $300 guy doesn't do clean room work and if it's beeping like that it likely needs read/write head replacement.

If you want to send it in to us the cost would be either:
$450 - if we can stabilize it and extract the data without replacing the read/write heads
$650 + Parts - if we need to replace the read/write heads (likely scenario in your case).

We guarantee that if we can't recover the data you don't pay the recovery charge, only the parts cost you would be out. If you post a picture of the drive label I can provide an estimate of what the parts would cost.

I could do it for $300. I have clean room, parts, tools, experience with this model and this type of problem. PM me. If I can't recover data - you pay nothing.

With only two posts on this forum? I'd expect a pro to have more activity than that.... care to elaborate about what company you represent?

You'd really recover a physically damaged 1Tb Hitachi "ARM" drive for $300 all-in?

With no parts fee and "no-fix no-fee"?

That sounds like a fantastic deal!! :-)

PS : This is The Reason That To Buy a Good Professional Tool In India You Spend Quite a Portion of Your Lifespan .I Think Its Same For Pakistan .I would suggest that the thread creator should send the drive to a pro in his country only .Although Jared is a ACE Professional he being in Australia [ Correct me if i am wrong ] .I sense a Motor jam or head stuck issue that would require a clean room for sure

Do not tell me what I should and What I shouldn't. I could start ARM hitachi and start read user area even if drive has not system modules in system area at all.

Our standard Price Is 330usd including one donor hdd.

60$ non-refundable if unsuccessful as a cost of donor.

India/pakistan/Bangladesh - This Is normal Price for us for dealing such cases.

I recommend data-medics for the localized service.

We have no idea about drHDD, So its better not judging with just 2 posts, need sometime for us to see

I'll vouch for the guy.
I hope my number of posts is convincing for the people :)

Although I suspect that since the drive is "beeping" the problem is much harder then just heads.
