If the heads are failing, how can read (copy/clone is a read operation) data? Analogous, if a person eyes are building cataracts, can they read a book well? No, need surgery to remove the cataracts.

I advised in your best interest. I had nothing to gain from my suggestion. Pcimage won't pay me an affiliate commission or something, hahahaaa. Matter of fact, I lost time thinking about what to suggest and post to help in your (drive's) best interest.

Good luck.

Sorry if I am asking stupid questions.
I don't have experience in HDD Recovery and I am trying to do as much as possible.
I've seen on forum people talking about swapping the heads or using terminal commands to fix some other errors.

Thank you again for your time.

The HDD is detected by BIOS. It takes a little bit more to show but it shows.

Hello,
I may be new to this forum but I'm a level 50 Thread Necromancer.
With that stated and recurring to my powers, I'd like to ask the OP:

"Did you have any luck recovering data from that drive? I'm in a similar situation with a CC24 drive, and in the process of getting a TTL-Serial cable"

Thank you and have a good day.
