Hey guys, new to the forum, hi! :D

Hoping someone can help with a drive I'm having issues with - its a Seagate Barracuda ST3000DM001.

I've had it a few years and it always acted up a bit, powering itself off and back on. I never did anything about it and its well out of warranty now.
I tried to fire it up recently as there are some files I'd like to get off it but it is making some weird noises before going pretty quiet and windows not detecting it. See video below as I wouldn't be able to describe how it sounds. Noise lasts for about one minute before going quiet but the drive "feels"like it is still getting power.

Any advice on how to start fault finding would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Very hard to hear the sound, I cannot hear the drive spinning up
posting the terminal log would be a good start
Anyway if the data is valuable to you then DO NOT open the lid and send it to a DR pro

Sounds like stiction or jammed spindle. You need to have a data recovery pro recover your data if it is indeed either of those.

Conect it like this :

And look for the drive output.

DO NOT ISSUE THE 7200.11 FIX COMMANDS OR ANY COMMAND AT ALL
