Well, where on the world are you located ? Vietnam ?

Why do you think the ROM is damaged ? Did you made something to it ?

Does the drive spin at all ? Does it click ?

Did you try a PCB replacement with ROM swapping and you damaged the chip ?

Tell us more about the drive and what it's doing. At least tell us if it's spinning at all.

Have you checked the ROM solder joints to make sure it's been put on correctly.

Do you have any way to READ ROM on the CHIP (external programmer) ?

DUMP the ROM with something like this : - http://www.hddoracle.com/viewtopic.php?f=117&t=865

If it doesn't work try to move ROM back to the other PCB. Do you have access to SA with non-native ROM + donnor overlay 11 ?

if hdd spin normally with other pcb
this mean recover data is very easy in this case
but clarifiy these points
1- can you read SA modules by new pcb

if not then write any good rom so you can access SA modules
read them all
and i have very good way to recover data in these old L-shapped even with no original rom
but Extract modules or at least key modules from SA

I can't stress enough, if you are not used to changing ROM chips, check the solder joints first.
