I can't even create a partition using that unallocated space. The options are just GREYED OUT!.

Should I send this one back or am I doing something wrong?. Thanks bros!.

you need to initialize the disk as GPT (GUID Partition Table).

backup data on the drive
go to Disk Manager
right click on Disk1 and select Convert to GPT Disk

That's strange, is this a Windows 10 thing?. I at first thought GPT was a Linux thing, but I guess not.

Anyways, I'll try this tommorow after im done rendering something here, which the data is stored on it right now. Will update after I change it over. Thanks you guys for the support!.

I suspect that DMDE (freeware disc editor) may be able to convert between MBR and GPT non-destructively, but it requires a little knowledge and manual manipulation.

It is better to delete old one and create new.

The files I store on this drive are temporary. So I have an SSD for windows, and a drive for media (music and stuff), then I have this third drive for video files to be rendered then uploaded. i basically delete them after the uploads are done. well, I actually do keep some clips. anyways, will get around to this soon thanks you guys.
