I have a fundamental question for Seagate hard disks. How disk shows hdd SN , fw .

Suppose I write donor (non native) rom in patient PCB but edited rom and changed model no /serial / PCBA SN to match original rom then is it possible to know what was original rom ? OR rom is non native ( though it shows correct model/fw/sn pcba sn etc)
In command Control +I will it show actual details or fetch them from ROM.
