Hi there,
I did some research on the ST500LM000 on the google and there in forum also and Im getting an opinion that it is not so good drive but let me ask you a question:
I have one ST500LM000-1EJ162 with stuck heads on the platter, but accidentaly I broke the head on its recovery.
So I did a little research in my stock and found the same working drive with the same model and the same second and third number in seriál number, even the datecode is the same. On the head, there is a part number that is the same for patient and donor. So I did the head swap.
Now the disk is visible to the BIOS, but Im unable to read anything from it.
Maybe it should be useful to show the console log:

Am I missing something or the platters are also gone?
Best regards,
Jan
