You did try F3 ARCH commands on a ST-10 drive ....

Also if you were to have a PERFECTY GOOD (in working condition) or even BRAND NEW 7200.12 drive and you were to use this command - m0,2,2,0,0,0,0,22 then translator would be re.created without taking intro account the non-resident G-List and you would DAMAGE THE DRIVE FOR GOOD and you would end with PARTIAL ACCESS TO LBA and BAD DRIVE.

That command is for 7200.11 drives ONLY (and drives of the same type) and was published as a sollution for the 0-LBA "problem" that is sometimes associated as well with the BSY bug typical of those 7200.11 drive. Don't expect to "fix" a 7200.12 with that command.

(Cut bad head)
viewtopic.php?f=1&t=35282

It looks like HDD head can be soft cutted (disabled)
the big deal now could be, find the bad head, and how can be cutted by terminal.

Oh ...

http://www.hddoracle.com/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=2037

The thing is your drive have either a damaged pre-amp or all heads are gone ...

So .... cut ALL heads and try !!!

Also this is assuming you don't have MASSIVE surface damage by now because of all of that PCB swapping without native ROM ....

What is a damaged pre-amp?

Maybe you should ask some help to @oleg as he might have some refurb drives to sell you at a decent price.

Well ....

I don't think that there are any .... At least for free.

But you can start here :

http://www.hddoracle.com/viewtopic.php?f=56&t=176

This cover the basic stuff for all drives. When you finish you can check here for problems with Seagate :

http://www.hddoracle.com/viewforum.php?f=83

And some info that can be of use :

http://www.hddoracle.com/viewforum.php?f=6

Also don't forget to check ACE BLOG !!!

http://blog.acelaboratory.com/list

To read some articles you will need to register at the forum and for doing so you will need to buy at least one ACE product like a PC-3000 unit....
