Hey guys,

I've received this HDD from a client, upon plugin it to MRT i've seen DS3 led blinking.

I believed it was a short circuit issue, and I've removed the diodes [they were both marking 129]. (picture below, removed marked in RED)

I plugged it again and drive wouldn't spin. (again DS3 led blink)

I believe I need another PCB to swap ROM and clone the drive.

Am I wrong ? Would you suggest anything else?

Thank you!

Did you check the fuse?

Yes, they were bad. I removed them and still no luck.

You need to replace the fuse, not remove it.

News flash,

My issue is with my MRT board, that now I see that every new disk I connect on CH_0 or CH_1 I get a DS3 blink error, probably caused by some malfunction on the board.

FML really.

I can now access the HDD by powering it with a regular power cable, but I can't manually keep soft resetting because HDD keeps goign to BUSY state.

Contact MRT technical support and replace the entire MRT card.

Let's see if they do it. I'd be willing to pay for air transport to make it come sooner as well...
