i have many mess of seagate hdd.
Many people try to swap pcb without knowledge..
after unsuccesfull attempt they sells drive.
some drive's pcb may not original.
older seagate etc(7200.11 ) let us know it.
set apart pcb replies CTRL+L or J.
new disk pcb's don't reply F3 command at alone like st500dm002's.
it gives some error. and i suspect the PCB. it maybe different disk's
is this firmware error?
or is there a way to know PCB's serial number..
may shorting point help us?
