MHDD: Function suggested

December 23rd, 2004, 23:10

Hi Dmitry.

I am a long time user of your great MHDD software, and it have been very usefull all this time. (I still use v3.5.2)

A suggestion: why don't you add the ATA SLEEP command to MHDD ??

It would be very nice to directly test the speed of the copy after a HotSwap is performed 8)

Also, I noticed that sometimes the unlocking code (a.k.a RTFM) is asked again in the same machine (as if you have just installed it) in the same hardware configuration. This is a normal program behaviour ??

Best regards and merry Christmas :D

I would suggest you to use latest version before reporting any bug ;-).

I implemented ata sleep 3 years ago... Just press F1 (in mhdd 3.9)

Use Read function to test the maximum PIO speed and Scan to test DMA speed.

I just want to thank you Dmitry for an excellent program.

This must be the best HDD diagnostics program ever - and it's free !.

What's in the future ??

Thanks again

In the future — new version 4.0 with all bug-fixes and possible updates :-).
Supposed to be stablest version.
