some times you can get lucky, and you'll not have to transfer the U12

This is true, especially if the DOM is close.

If if clicks with new PCB then you have other issues.

If it spins up and stays spinning but with no ID then you’ll need to switch U12 and it should work.

Hi,

That's my first post so hi everyone :D

I have the same problem so I won't create a new topic.

Patient:
WD Caviar SE WD800
MDL: WD800JB-00JJA0
DCM: HSBHYTJAH
PCB 2060-001292-000 white sticker: 2061-001292-A00 AD
Not running, not visible in BIOS

Donor:
WD Caviar SE WD800
MDL: WD800JB-00JJC0
DCM: HSBHNTJCA
PCB 2060-701292-002 white sticker: 2061-701292-A00 BB
HDD is fine.

When I swap the PCB patient starts running but stops after a few seconds. Should I change U12 or PCBs are not compatibile?

Thanks for your help in advance.
