Data recovery and disk repair questions and discussions related to old-fashioned SATA, SAS, SCSI, IDE, MFM hard drives - any type of storage device that has moving parts

Bought HDD LLF to reset my NAS drives, usually WD Red or Samsung IronWolf.
Running the application under Windows 10 account with administrative rights.
Lists all drives ok, including internal NVMe and external USB 3.1 drives.
I have problems "getting SMART values" on any drive, always "SMART is not supported by this device.".
Device details are displayed for NVMe, but not for USB drives, always "Details are unavailable for this device."
I'm kind of reluctant to use LLF or quick wipe by an application not recognizing SMART and device details.
Or is it save to use it in my environment?
Thanx for your opinions.
