Fujitsu PCB compatibility criteria

April 9th, 2019, 15:00

Hello

I have a Fujitsu drive that need to replace the PCB (Model: MHY2160BH, PN: PN: CA06889-B377000T)

The PCB doesn't contain an external ROM chip.

I found a PCB with same PCB REF (CA26344-B32104BA), same HDD model and same hdd PN.

- PC3000 support told me that its not enough and other numbers on white square on PCB need to match too (see patient PCB)
- DonorDrives told me that it should work (See donor drive)

Can anyone tell me please what are the criteria for Fujitsu PCB replacement to work?

Kind regards

Did you check the fuse?

You can use any PCB for the same model unless it has an external flash chip.

For new Pub, match 44 and 31

Drive doesn't spin and there is no noise.

When I plug it to PC3000, and power ON, BSY light is OFF

It’s a poor photo, and I’m not at work to check a PCB.

That coupled with fat fingers on an iPad to edit the photo doesn’t make for an accurate edit of the photo, but I think this is the fuse (or a zero ohm resistor). Black component with a white “O” on it.

Check it for continuity....

I re-checked that part of the PCB, it looks good.
