WD3200AAJS 00L7A0
Pcb in very bad condition. User have bad trying to fix PCB but it look very bad. It is garbage for me. Some copper links deformed, some chips removed. I removed bios. Reader with external device. Full FF . Also I soldered it to 2 Donor PCB. Same. Rom data gone away before. So I don't have ROM.
Is it possible to recover this drive?

If this is a job for a client my advise would be to outsource the job to a professional recovery company with knowledge to rebuild ROM from SA.

Is this a test case where data is not needed, go ahead and read the manuals for your tools. Rebuild ROM from SA is basic knowledge.

Case solved % 100 recovered.

But some strange thing occurred before recovery.
Firstly I could find SA access way. Bacuped all modules and Used ROM.
Then I unplugged from MRT connected directly SATA connection to computer. I couldn't saw drive. Then plugged in over USB dock. I saw drive normal working. Decided copy folders normal way. Intended to use SATA again so Sata speed 3x faster than usb dock.
Drive not come over SATA and US dock
Never saw again drive.
I returned MRT . Checked modules. Most modules look wrong data
Something like shifted data adress.
I could rewrite all modules BY Id . Didn't turn normal
Writed by id coyp0 copy1 . And bingo.
DE. And cloned all data.

By the way never used rebuild ROM from SA in this case. If I tried my guess ROM would be still wring
Its strange for me and I wondet why drive modules corrupted when connect computer normal way.

Thanks for response.

To rebuild the ROM from the SA in WD, it is not necessary to know the exact ROM version that the HDD has. You can take a ROM of that HDD model, load the LDR, search the modules in SA by track or ABA and rebuild the ROM.
