Unlocked WD20SPZX?

Have been seeing a few of these newer drives now so updated pc3k and bought myself some of the supposedly unlocked PCBs

I bought a WDC WD20SPZX-22UA7T0 that was supposed to be unlocked. Family not detected but going into Palmer utility it says its SED and cant read ROM. It does ID.

Have I been sold a locked drive or am I doing something stupid.

Do you get the SED lock message if you connect just the PCB to PC-3000?

Sounds like it could be locked to me

Yup. It will get sent back. Paid with paypal so should be covered.
