Hi,

I create a 256MB partition on hard disk. The format it to FAT32, with 4096 cluster size.

THen I check the Boot sector of the partition, and find the the following parameters:

Sector count: 530145
Reversed Area Size: 38
FAT Count: 2
FAT Size: 517
Sector per Cluster: 8

In such a case, (530145 - 38 - 517 * 2) is not a multiply of 8 sectors. Is that correct for a FAT32 partition?

NTFS also has an extra sector, at least for MBR partitions.
