Pictures with all the numbers
https://imgur.com/LdT6YM8You'd need very short wires - 15-20mm max to make it work

Thank you for your fast reply. i saw that picture on a previous post, but it doesn't assign which pin goes where (E71,E72,E73,E75). at the example which ACE has at its blog says that "Pins 2 should be soldered to the minor marked text point on the PCB. In this case it’s “C90”. All other SATA adapter contacts soldering from the minor text to the major." but for another PCB. What about this one?

Hello, I try the same mod...
https://imgur.com/LdT6YM8 shows PCB 2060-800041-
000 REV P1... Are the capacitors which I need to remove still the same for PCB 2060-800041-
003 REV P1?
The PCB looks pretty similiar but not 100% the same. I found on that spot 4 brown SMDs and so i am pretty sure that are capacitors but I am not sure if the layout changed... In the picture look the capacitors also much bigger - the ones in my PCB are extreme tiny, at lease they appear tinier then in the picture.
Is the pinout
- Code:
PIN 2 (A+) -> E71
PIN 3 (A-) -> E72
PIN 5 (B-) -> E73
PIN 6 (B-) -> E75
for all WD USB-drives the same or is that only for that model valid?

Look at the pins of the bridge IC. If the components on your PCB connect to those same pins, and if your PCB has the same bridge IC, then ...
