Data recovery and disk repair questions and discussions related to old-fashioned SATA, SAS, SCSI, IDE, MFM hard drives - any type of storage device that has moving parts

Recovered a Tshiba MQ01ABB200 drive from an HP RDX cartridge being tossed out by my company. The drive is locked. I don't care about the data on it, but it could be useful for some NAS storage or something...
Looked around for the VSC codes for these drives, but only found the super-on so far. Anyone know if it's possible to unlock these drives, or got the rewrite sector command that does it?
Otherwise it goes in the bin I guess...

Sorted...booted into UBCD and used ATAPWD to set ERASE PREPARE on the drive, then ZU to remove the password. A nice 2TB drive for some handy storage...!
