 Post subject: ST1000DM003 Does nothing

Hi.
I have a hard drive, and I would like to try to boot it to recover the data.
First of all, my English is very basic, sorry for that.
Model: ST1000DM003
Plate: 100664987 Rev -B
History:
It stopped working suddenly.
It does nothing at all. No noise, no heat.
I test it on a USB adapter (other HDDs work) and directly on the motherboard.
As I saw that I had a short diode, I ordered a plate on Ebay, in China of the same model (it is revision A, but it looks the same)
I changed the diode but it didn't work.
I proceeded to put the diode back on the board I bought and changed the Bios chip and cleaned the contacts.
It remains the same, does not make any noise or heats or anything.
Maybe the plate I bought is also broken? The diodes seem good, but there is a component marked as:
33L 2.1 M on one plate and 33L 2A M on the other. I haven't found what Google is about, they both give me practically short circuit, but I don't know if it's normal.
I attach photos of everything.
I do not work professionally to repair discs, but as I know some electronics I would like to fix it.

There are two open circuited zero-ohm resistors near the +5V SATA pins. You need to bridge them with a blob of solder. Then check the voltages at each of the inductors (R47, 2 x 1R0 and 3 others). You can do this without replacing the "ROM". Hopefully you didn't damage it during the transfer.

The other important things to check are the resistances at the supply rails (+5V and -5V) for the preamp (on the headstack inside the HDA). These supplies (and ground) would be present on pins 2,4,6 of the HDA connector (J4).

The diode near the motor controller is a freewheel diode for the switchmode supply which comprises the unmarked inductor plus the switching circuitry inside the IC. Don't be tempted to remove it.
