Data recovery and disk repair questions and discussions related to old-fashioned SATA, SAS, SCSI, IDE, MFM hard drives - any type of storage device that has moving parts

Hello,
I have some tools from ER-tools but actually I have 4TB WD Blue which has 5 platters and 10 heads... I looked but that disk is not supported in my set of ER-tools! I also would not get a fitting tool from APEX (they have a ramp-tool for the head-swap but no E-type tool) and even HDDsurgery don't have one...
I know I could just rotate the platters, pray and gently try to move the heads down to the ramp... In some cases that would work but it's a bit risky! Is there a trick / technique which I could use to make it more save? Or does some company make the right tool?
