Data recovery and disk repair questions and discussions related to old-fashioned SATA, SAS, SCSI, IDE, MFM hard drives - any type of storage device that has moving parts

Hello
I'm still testing and breaking down the hard drive to make my hand.
Today I took out an old hard drive that hasn't worked for a long time.
I looked at it and saw that the motor that drives the drives is not running. I tried just without forcing it to turn right or left and impossible.
You would say that it is what kind of failure? and what would be the solution?
Thanks

Those are the cases where a platter swap is the solution.
Or eventually replace the spindle.

Probably does require platter(s) transfer, but this is 100% NOT a DIY case.
Depending on actual model, this can be a moderate to extremely difficult case even for most pros!
Proper diagnosis is required.
