Advice from fellow service technicians

Hello, I have service for 12 years and I plan to start offering a data recovery service in some limitation, as I will not open the disk until I gain more practice. I have already repaired the electronics on the disks successfully. I'm interested in the opinion of fellow service technicians is a Rapid Spar device any good for starters because it's affordable. It’s too much right now to think about the pc-3000. Or if some of you have better solution to get started. Thanks in advance
