Data recovery and disk repair questions and discussions related to old-fashioned SATA, SAS, SCSI, IDE, MFM hard drives - any type of storage device that has moving parts

I was expecting the shield drive to show as the full 500gb (as I think that's what was shown in the YT video), but I let the app do it's thing and we are good to go. The shield boots up so fast now.
So I am trying to upgrade my pro to a 500gb ssd. However when I use HDD guru, my shield tv HDD isn't showing as the full 500gb, but only about 62gb. Any idea what could be causing that? (Using a sata to USB adapter to read the HDD.)
thanks in advance!!!

I have no idea what you are talking about, but it appears that your adapter may be configured for a sector size of 4096 bytes rather than 512. This results in a capacity discrepancy of 8x.
