Hello,

I have 4x4TB HDDs Seagate in a QNAP NAS connected in RAID 5.
One of them decided suddenly to give up.
I connected it - via external USB - to a Windows 10 PC and I have tried to format it.
In the Disk Management console, the initial info was showing multiple RAW partitions that could not be deleted/formatted.
I succeeded to clean up the disk with diskpart but when I have tried to create a new partition, it was showing only 1678 GB.

Crystal Disk Info shows exactly the situation, see the attached picture.

Any suggestions on what to do next to recover the entire disk size? (not the data, of course)

What does SMART show on that drive?
Either way, it sounds like it is damaged. Replacing is the best course of action, as it is no longer reliable for further use.

The USB-SATA bridge firmware appears to have a 32-bit LBA limitation.

4TB - 2TiB = 1677.29 GiB

You need to attach the drive directly to a SATA port inside your computer.
