You appear to have selected the wrong ROM capacity. Your dump is 16MB, but the actual ROM appears to be only 256KB (0 - 0x3FFFF).
The embedded NVRAM (0x28000 - 0x28FFF) has an XOR16 checksum of 0x0000. I don't know how to check its CRC, but the NVRAM would appear to be OK. At least all 5 copies are identical.
The first 16 bytes of the ROM are all 0x00, so this looks wrong to me.
- Code:
Offset(h) 00 01 02 03 04 05 06 07 08 09 0A 0B 0C 0D 0E 0F

00000060 80 11 9F 05 70 10 80 05 01 10 A0 E3 74 10 80 E5
It would appear that offsets 0 - 0x11 have been sabotaged.
Note that your ROM version is JP2NB3MA whereas the one in the files area is different, JP2NB3EA.

Fzabkar,
This is the programmer i used to read EPROM ->
https://phyton.com/categories/product/ChipProg-40 . The ROM is Question is 25FU206 ,Today i Updated to Latest version ver 2.60.00 ,Typing 25FU206 in the device list gets me 4 results Sanyo LE25FU206TT and LE25FU206MA " Both of them have ISP modes Also ,The Tool says its 4,194,304 Bytes ,The chip is actually 2MBit [ 256KB x8 Bit] , So i should Read Code From 0 To 0x3FFFF "Which i will do and add to this reply " , I also do see that top row is all ZEROS ,Its a pain to see people doing this ,I also have two more programmers from Elnec that i will fire up and report back here .Frank did you note at offset 0x40000 we do see the stuff thats missing in starting line and second line after that also has 0x02 Missing ,Something is wrong with this programmer possibly they have wrong size and messed up algorithm To read chip .Serial No of This HDD is HK0W700R , FW is Indeed 3MA .
PS : The programmer keeps reading the way it wants i will try it on my ELNEC .

Your donor and patient appear to have identical boot blocks. I would patch the sabotaged bytes and try the patched ROM. Hopefully there is no other sabotage.
