Canvio Advance (HDTC9******A) FAIL

hello everyone, this is the second toshiba canvio advance 2.5 external that breaks without any warning, exactly 1 month after the warranty expires.
The models are Canvio Advance (HDTC9******A).
Right away I noticed that they had problems with windows 10 64bit, when I wanted to safely disconnect them, they would stay connected, (I read a lot about it, the only way was to use diskpart and remove all dismount) which never happened to me before toshibas!
I have a reallocated sectors error, also I only see 0.99Tb total and 994Gb free

PS: I make 3 copies for my photos and documents, they are 2.5 drives I never keep them on only when I make copies of new files, they are in an isolated box. So I don't need much speed for reading and writing. What disks do you recommend? I haven't lost any data for about 20 years, I started with Maxtor, Seagate then after their decline I started using WD, I wanted to drop in price and switched to Toshiba, but the experience was bad.
Besides WD can you recommend any good brands? I'm at 3.5TB, so a 4TB would be good.
