Hi

Working on a charger, imaging goes fine for few seconds, then speed drops to kilobytes and unstable. A power reset gives full speed but for few seconds.

Anyone faced such behaviour?

I would try with another power supply. Sounds like it starts to fail after getting warm.

I'm not from India (not OP), and I've seen oddball stuff like this an in external drive with a bad charger, which is what it sounds like the OP is dealing with. Could also be background activity as you mentioned, but I would try the charger first as it could completely clear up the issue if the root cause.

I'm wondering whether @Samir is confusing an AC/DC charger with Charger (a WD family code).

I was not aware that charger was a family code, so yes, that's why I posted my reply. I learned something new and now realize this has nothing to do with a power supply, lol.
