November 25th, 2021, 17:59

Which way is better to pay ace for PC 3000 tech support? Credit card or money transfer pay?
Wire transfer the thid party charge known, how to make sure ace can receive exact number to avoid second transaction?

Any suggestions?

Pay a little extra to cover wire transfer fees. Ask the bank what the fees should be.

Thank you for your kind message. Wire transfer also needs 3rd party fee which I do not know, just want to pay onetime so that Ace can receive exactly the number it wants. For the credit card, 2 or 3 percent is ok if no other extra charge, just want to know how others pay and make sure which way is better.

If you pay by credit card, Ace will send you a link to pay the specific amount and you're done.
If you want to pay by wire transfer, then call your bank and ask them how much would they charge for this transfer.
Or as labtech says, add a little extra.

I think there is an option to cover the bank fees by the sender, you need to select 'OURS' when initiating the transfer. Then they receive the exact amount you transfered and all the fees will be deducted from your account.
That was the procedure a few years ago at least, dunno if anything changed since then.

My bank doesn't accept OUR method. At least not to all countries..

Thnk you all for the input. How much Ace charges if one chooses credit card? Since the number is in US Dollars, Is it only one conversion of currency (my local currency to US dollar) instead of the double conversion of currency ace will use? How much it will overcharge (2% 3% or other number?). Confused.

yeah, perhaps it is not available during SEPA transfers.
But i think it is not a problem in the EU, since here bank charges are accounted separately, which makes the numbers match on invoice and bank account.
It is a problem with rus banks where they simply deduce the fees from the amount and the numbers just do not match up. But i think there is no bank that would be able to tell you the exact amount of the fees, coz sometimes there are intermediary banks taking their part too.
So this whole thing sucks in some extent.
The receiver party is probably more happy if it receives a higher amount, this makes them so happy that they forget the numbers are not matching up...

Confused how much intermediary bank charges and how to pay the numbers. If only tenths of dollars, that is fine. Do not know the percentage ace will charge if using credit card.
Thank you all for your kind messages.

CC fees are charged to the seller. It should be their problem.

If you are wiring, send an extra $100. You can confirm rough amount with the Ace seller for Raifessen bank, as well as your bank, to get some idea.
Just ask questions.

As pepe said, if you pay by credit card you only pay the amount of the product. Credit card fees and bank fees should not be your concern.

Use Revolut app, no fees. I always pay with Revolut and never had any fees or problem. I've been using it for 3 years, it's the BEST way to transfer money worldwide.

Thank you all for the info. One thing is not sure that there is no more charge later for the tech support? Pay yearly, then no more pay? It is not clear and confusing.

You pay for one year support at a time. No other fees apply until you need to renew a year later.

If you are paying by credit card it is probably your bank declining the card as its a large foreign transaction.
I have had that a few times myself over the years.
Check with your bank/credit card company.
