Toshiba (Hitachi) DT01ACA200 on malfunctioned NAS

December 15th, 2021, 0:13

I had 2 Toshiba HDDs (model DT01ACA200) that I used as Synology NAS drive. That Synology had a hardware failure, and during troubleshooting with numerous reboots, it caused both the the HDDs to log some S.M.A.R.T failures (see attached picture). Both essentially have the same SMART errors.

I am really suspecting these 2 drives should still be functioning normally (both passed extended SMART tests), but having these attributes mean my PC would flash warnings during POST, also my new Synology would refuse to use these drives.

I am wondering if there is anyway to get rid of the problematic figure?
