 Post subject: WD20EARX-008FB0 can't access to user data

Hi guys i have this drive i have swap head and i can read all modelu of SA, the integrity check of SA say ok but i can't access to data area, not read any sector. I have thinked are SED issue and I have disabled but nothing have change, I have regenerated translator (after module backup) :-) renegerator go successfull but nothing, head test say all head ok. Suggestions ? I can read sector only if i disable module 02

Yes, i can read only with serial port

Try replacing module 02 by another one. (Block access in RAM and load from other device)

Those status register values are bugging me... i would try a donor pcb too.

so? :-) LOL it's a screenshot man, I turned off my drive and after I asked in the forum, would anything have changed if it was turned on? The steps made remain even if the hdd is turned off :-)

facepalm, yeah, i missed the power state. Status and error regs are off in pc3k when power is off, so they don't show sht without power, that's what disturbed me...

What error do you get (abrt, unc, idnf)?
not security locked?
