Hello,
First of all I'm French, sorry for my bad english.

I've an old hard drive which the PCB got fried by storming weather.
Il my memory only the motor driver chip was burned but It was maybe ten or so years ago.
To my bad, I've tried some PCB with no luck due to part number and/or DCM code mismatch (appear as SABER DISK).
The mecanics part is OK, and I'm sure the head assembly too.

I've found this HDD but not the original PCB so I can't give you the labels any more.
The HDD label :
S/N : WCAM6F235193
WD Caviar SE
MDL : WD800JB-00JJC0
DATE : 02 FEB 2006
DCM : DSCACTJAA
Made in Thailand
Is it possible for you with those informations to give me the right labels on the PCB ?
Is any one has a PCB for this drive ?

Thank you in advance.
Best regards
Jonathan LESTEL

Google tells me 2061-701292-A00 - ebay or aliexpress is your best bet for used drives and pcbs. If you don't have the original pcb there's only a very slim chance it will work though.

I'm guessing you've plugging the drive in to a usb adapter which is what the computer is seeing as SABER DISK.

Hello !
Thank you for your answer.

I’ll try to find a PCB matching model, DCM and the part number you give me.

In the case it don’t work, is it possible to recover the data in center ?
Or by replace both head assembly and the matching PCB ?

Thank you again.

It would be a lot easier (and cheaper) for a DR pro if you could find the original PCB, but it should be possible without although expect a tier 2 recovery charge. You'd only need to replace the HSA if it was fried, if the motor controller blew that's always a possibility, in which case clean room and parts would take the recovery into tier 3. If you're considering professional recovery services make sure it's a DR pro and not a generic computer repair place.
