Data recovery and disk repair questions and discussions related to old-fashioned SATA, SAS, SCSI, IDE, MFM hard drives - any type of storage device that has moving parts
I've been using DOS Victoria to scan & remap my SATA 1TB disk. I've tried the Windows version but it simply stops at the first 'defect'. There are 2 options for remap in the DOS version (Classic & Advanced) but I can't find out what the differences are. Does anyone know? Thanks
Seems little strange those remap options, because as explained a classic remap is finally not a remap. (or perhaps it is just not forced to remap, like it let the drive doing what it want)
