Hi,

WD mypassport not recognized by anything and tried all programs in hiren bootcd, i thought it's dead but working on DMDE 3.8 and i could transfer some pictures sadly all videos are super slow

here is smart data attached which seems fine but i'm a noob, i can provide any info needed aswell.

is there is anyway to repair it while maintaining data? most Diagnostic tools freez when i try to open it and it's not visible on partition tools that i tried.

why all data visible on DMDE and nothing else?

Can i format it and use it normally again? and how can i format it if it's not visible on Partition Tools?

I only used it for a few months i really appreciate your help

Thanks.

Either clone or make an image of the drive and recover your data from that. Doing so will also highlight any physical errors on the drive that smart might be missing. It might just be a logical problem rather than a physical one. If it's still under warranty return it, I wouldn't trust a drive which has misbehaved anyway.

You don't - recover the files elsewhere, stress test the drive fully to ensure it's not a hardware fault and if it isn't then format and recreate the file system and put the files back.

Do you recommend any program?

If DMDE sees it, then Windows sees it. Under Windows it may show as RAW.
When tinkering around, it is highly recommended to disconnect any other drives you have connected. Many people mix drives up.
In DMDE, there is a "Fill sectors" option. Use that to wipe the drive.
Once done, if no errors show, then maybe it is a good drive.
Disconnect drive and reconnect, then format it.
