There is a white dot on the PCB which identifies pin #1.

I tried 3 different U12 with 2 different ways. No motor notice. Can i have burned the cards? No burning is visible.

Maybe it isn't good to use a big heat gun so heat comes over the U12?

Only the original ROM will work (or a chip with the original data) they are not interchangeable between pcb's. It's pretty clear you're struggling with both the technical and equipment side perhaps you should leave this to someone else. If you haven't already mixed up the ROM's there's a good chance you've killed it with the paint stripper.

The pcb has same numbers so it should be possible to change U12. Maybe i destroyd the U12. Only had heat for 10 sec max.

Like I said, perhaps this is best left to someone else.

Yes you got a point. But i will try myself. If i get a smaller more suited heat gun. How many W? Do it need to be on? The so called paint stripper was on 1600w. I used the second level of 3. I guess you should not point the heat gun over the U12? I guess the heat should only be on the feets to U12?

I would suggest that you buy some low-melt solder and use that to unsolder the ROM with a soldering iron. Much less chance of destruction. Clean up the solder from the ROM legs before transferring it to the new PCB.

I guess the U12 chip is sensitive for heat and you easily can burn it? You should only try to keep the heat at the legs?

I believe so, although I haven't destroyed one yet. However, I exercise great care not to overheat the ROM, sometimes using a hot plate to gradually bring the PCB to 215C or so before using hot air to unsolder the ROM, focusing it on the legs/PCB. Be sure to note the location of pin 1 on the ROM and PCB, so you attach it with the correct orientation on the donor PCB.
