 Post subject: Burned WD PCB no external bios chip. I need help

My problem seeing at picture

Can I read bios with wiring. And wiring points??

You can either move the mcu or fix the pcb. It looks a burnt mess but have tried clearing it off - is there any actual pcb damage, I assume you have a donor for replacement parts.

Replace the entire PCB and generate ROM from SA.
I can see it's 2060-701444 from sequoia drive 160 GB, Am I right?

MRT has bug when writing ROM to internal ( embedded)
I have reported 2 years ago still same.(writing FF FF FF to first sectors)

Write the regenerated ROM code to a working donor HDD in SATA mode.

I lost my mind. Thats true .
I would try it. Tested a PCB ( diffrent number) has internal ROM. Writing properly in SATA mode.

Be aware that your PCB has a damaged Vcore supply and a damaged preamp supply. The latter may mean that your preamp is also damaged. I would measure the preamp resistances at your HDA pins.

Well Frank,
Preamp resistance on HDA pins will differ from HDD to HDD right ,But one might find out what pins they are by seeing the PCB ,In this case which pins do you think we should test

Pins 4 and 6 appear to be the preamp supply pins.
