Data recovery and disk repair questions and discussions related to old-fashioned SATA, SAS, SCSI, IDE, MFM hard drives - any type of storage device that has moving parts

I just bought 6 new (hopefully) 12TB Seagate Iron Wolf Pro drives. When they arrived I noticed that three of them had small slits in the packaging to allow the addition of small stickers. Can anybody tell me what these stickers are and why they were put on the drives.
Thanks in advance,
James

Probably just for the seller to easily keep track of where they purchased them from and who they sold them to.
Nothing to worry about IMHO.

The Chinese translates to:
"tear up without guarantee
2022 "Month Day"
so basically a "Void if removed" sticker and the date sticker was filled in, likely purchase date to have a warranty timeline.

Yes, this is chinese .
The seller told that don't tear up it ,or no warranty.
