WD40NDZM-59A8KS1

Hi all.
I have this drive that comes up in disk management as unknown and not initialised.
Disk management prompts to initialise it.
However, no media is visible.

The drive LED flashes twice immediately on plugging into the USBC port.
The drive sounds like it is spinning up fine.

The USB port appears undamaged.
I've reseated the PCB circuit board.

No data recovery program can see the drive media.

I was going to try to bypass the USB-SATA bridge chip, but I believe it does on-the-fly encryption.
The chip is a asm225cm.

In the past I've been able to decrypt older WD Essential drives, is that yet an option for this kind of SED encryption?

Any suggestions on recovering the data?
Thanks for reading.

this drive encrypts data with MCU not with USV chip, so you can modify the PCB and still get decrypted data
