Hello,

The mentioned disk was working fine for years, then because of an update it was boxed until today.
When I try to install it on new mobo it prompted me for ATA password. I've never set any kind of passwords for that drive, nor the BIOS since I was running pfSense on it.
I've attached the output from hdparm.
Furthermore, I've tried ATA Password Tool from Ultimate Boot CD, MHDD, Victoria and all related software I could find without any luck. MHDD, Victoria didn't even found the drive. Also tried HDDErase, Killdisk, DD for an attempt to low level format the drive with the hope that it will unlock. Also tried looking for public master password or any kind of documentation or firmware update from the LiteOn website - no luck at all.

Do you guys have any suggestions how can I go about this? I really don't care about the data inside, I just want to use the drive again.

Hello again,

I think I posted this in the wrong place.

@Mods, please move the topic to the SSD section or delete it, so I can re-post in the right section.
