Very strange problem with WD40EDAZ 4TB

September 15th, 2022, 11:01

Hello everybody, I am having a problem with this WD40EDAZ that is driving me crazy.

I am using unlocked ROM now. HDD spins up and gets ready with full ID but, as soon as it gets ready, it reboots immediately (like power off / on) and continues in this way forever.

I tried to block SA access, the HDD keeps spinning and doesn't reboot. With SA blocked, I have full SA access (I made a full backup) and made heads test with success. But when I allow SA access in RAM and click "soft reset" to make HDD work, it makes power cycle and reboot. So I can't read anything from it.

I already tried to swap PCB, it's the same. Do you have any hint for this? Heads seems to work and I have full SA access but hdd always reboots as soon as it gets full ID. I also tried blocking 02 module and hdd works and has full SA access but then it has same problem.

Thanks
Simone

190 Module got corrupted (affected with garbage). Thats common for VeniceRs. Could be solved. Don't do heads swap, it won't help.
