ignore the skip count it is afaik cumulative, the key figures are the non tried/non trimmed , bad and obviously the Finished.

As I said you'll get a much better visual feel for the drive damage if you view the log file on hddscviewer. Looking back at your posts the drive appears to have ben timing out during background processes when you were copying files from it.

I'm finally back, but just to say that I haven't done anything else yet as I kind of want a second opinion that it is safe to stop the recovery process and time to check the image.

I'm yet to run hddscviewer as I somehow overlooked that, but I'll do that asap.

It is a bit hard to advise coz i don't even know if the drive can still read anything or head(s) degraded...
If you want to be on the safe side, take a backup of the imaged data and start checking it using some logical recovery sw, (dmde, ufs explorer, rstudio... )

Now it would be good if you had filled the target drive with some pattern prior imaging, to identify files with problems. Dunno if these logical recovery progs can use the logs of hddsuperclone...

So much of that just went over my head.

I'll make a copy of the image and try using hddscviewer and also see what happens if I mount it.

And if I come across issues I'll try dmde.

HDDSuperClone can be used to fill the unrecovered areas of the destination with a fixed pattern with the mark fill option, so that the pattern could be searched for in files.

R-Studio supposedly introduced working with ddrescue and hddsuperclone sector maps about a year ago, although I am not able to test it as I only have a license for an old version.
