it is not the same fw

we need 2 drives from the 'same batch', with same fw ver to find out if processor is involved.

got one case with PCB burned (SMOOTH chip).
So only possible is SMOOTH chip change???

I think that's the best you can do... changing the MCU is more risky, probably easier to change the smooth as well. However, check the surrounding components for shorts, especially the voltage converters and diodes.
