Hi all,

First time poster but a long time lurker - thanks for all the contributions which have helped me in the past!

I have a WD20NMVW-11EDZS6 USB drive pulled from a MyPassport enclosure.

The customer reports the drive has not been dropped or mishandled and simply stopped mounting recently.

I confirmed drive does not mount and shows zero capacity. All sounds normal.

I converted the board to SATA and tried to open in MRT but I am only getting BSY still. Also tried with a RapidSpar and it can also not communicate with the drive.

Any guidance would be appreciated. I've not dealt with many of this model before and when I have this symptom was not encountered.

Thanks!
snhc

Block MOD30; and use LDR load DIR and then inspect secondary translator.

Hmm, correction no secondary on Shrek LT. Check FW - do SA check. Disable relo and SMART in MOD02.
