Hard Drive inaccessible

January 14th, 2023, 11:20

I have a TOSHIBA DT01ACA200 Internal 2TB HDD. It is partitioned for a Windows drive (C:) and a Data drive (D:). The windows part functions fine, however the D: gives the following errors when attempting to access it.
D:/ is not accessible.
The disk structure is corrupt and unreadable.

When Check from Property Tools menu is used:
The disk check could not be preformed because Windows can't access the disk.

When ChkDsk from C Prompt is used:
The type of the file system is TFS.
Unable to determine volume version and state. CHKDSK aborted.

I have ran Active Partition Manager and it tell me that Primary $MFT, Primary $MFTMrr, Primary $LogFile, Primary $Volume, Mirror $MFT, Mirror $MFTMrr, Mirror $LogFile, & Mirror $Volume are all marked INVALID.

Am I correct to assume my only remaining option at this point is Data Recovery and Reformatting?
Thanks ahead of time for the assistance.
