Help to recover WD BLUE WS40EZRZ

My hdd will not work anymore.

Yesterday I tried to copy data from it and one of the folders would not copy. I dont remember the exact error message I got. I though I would copy everything tomorrow and try to see whats wrong, but now it's tomorrow and it will not even boot.

This is my data drive not my main drive. What happens is I can see my drive in the bios, so it's detected. However windows will not load when the drive is connected. If I disconnect the drive window loads fine. It always stalls on the bios presentation screen with my mobo name. The little wheel at the bottom of the screen turns and turns an nothing happens. It does not make any clicking sound or other weird sound. When I put my ear directly on it I hear the exact same sounds as a working drive. I have also tried to boot with a Macrium recovery usb thumb drive and it stalls when "searching for plug and play devies(Press esc to escape)". If I press escape nothing happens, it's frozen there. I have tried this on 2 different computers and both those computers will ready other hdd with no issues.

I have no clue what to do next. I have been looking for a few hours and I have no found this specific problem anywhere. I would very much appreciate suggestions to be able to read the drive and recover my data.

I have no clue what to do next.

Stop fiddling with the drive, disconnect it. If data is important it's wise to contact a data recovery specialist then. Where are in the World?

Update : By using a HDD docking and turning it on only when the OS was loaded, I was able to copy the first partition but not the second. I was able however to make a sector copy of the whole disk into a file with DMDE. I tried to recover a few random folders from the second partition and it worked perfectly.

I'm not sure if the issue is physical or if it's a messed up filesystem anymore.

What makes me think it's a file system :
- I was not able to access the second partition directly with in any OS. Whenever I attempt to read the second partition they all froze.
- Any software I tried to make an image of the second partition with failed, probably attempting to analyze the file system. The only thing that works to get the second partition is to make a sector copy into a file with DMDE.

What makes me think it might be physical :
Macrium stalling when searching for plug and play devices(see screenshot above).
If I tried to lock the source for copy when making my sector copy with DMDE, it also froze. It only worked without locking the source.

In any case, my issue seems to be fixed. The free version of DMDE only allows me to recover 1 folder at the time which is annoying. I might look for a free program to make sector copies and extract the files or just buy a DMDE license. 20 bucks to recover a whole drive is pretty cheap, imo.

Check the SMART report. I bet you will see many reallocated, pending or uncorrectable sectors.

Crystal disk info is not even starting when I have that HDD powered on my docking.

HDDSuperClone was the first thing I tried after posting this but I was not able to make a bootable thumbdrive for some reason. I will give it another try since it's the second time it's been suggested. Thank you!
