HGST DC HC510 (HUH721010ALE600) firmware corruption?

This is my first post here. I'm no DR expert, just an enthusiast seeking for help, so please forgive me if I lag to catch up on some basic concepts.
I had a RAID0 array on a ASUSTOR NAS consisting of two DC HC510 10Tb units. SMART scans and disk checks were ran weekly and never showed up any errors until I was greeted with this error:

I shut down the NAS, put it on my work bench to check for dust on the SATA connectors and do other inspections. I used some canned air and tried connecting both HDDs to my 2 bay dock that was connected to my Windows machine and see what happened.
The failed HD was making a very low clicking noise every time it tried to start spinning. Afraid of doing any more damage I removed it from the dock.

In a last resort and last grasp of hope I put back both HDDs to the NAS, turned it on again, no strange noises this time.
The drive is detected by the NAS correctly (model, SN, capacity), but reported CRC error and I couldn't access any SMART report.

I'm assuming my data is intact and I'm facing a firmware error? I do have a soldering/reworking station and ordered a spare PCB on AliExpress to change the BIOS chip hoping this might be the fix. But this is just guess as I can't interpret the error messages and have very little knowledge in this area.

Hoping for some expert advice as I'm kinda desperate here.
Unfortunately the drives are recertified and I do not have the money required for the $3500 usd quote I got for recovering the files, and I have important work files from the last 3 years on the drives.
I had everything backed up on Google Workspace, but this month my legacy account was forcely migrated and I lost my unlimited storage. Google was charging $600/month for keeping the files.

I'm writing this with my hands shaking and tears in my eyes really hoping that I can recover the files in some way. I don't have much money to pay for help, but I can provide video editing services in exchange.

I have never seen a recertified helium drive, can you post a picture of the label?
It's not a PCB issue by the way.
If you download a hex editor like https://mh-nexus.de/en/hxd can you see any sectors?
If not then a professional data recovery company is your only option.

Oh man, I was really hoping the PCB fix was viable.

This is the label. It also has a recertified engraving on the sides of the casing.

I can't mount/see the HD on my Windows device, how can I achieve this via SSH in the NAS? Any linux package?

Just a few more details: it looks like the NAS is unmounting the drive and not letting me access it. Is it worth trying to connect the HD to a Live Linux install on my personal computer and try to access it or this behaviour is expected?

You do need to test the HDD for sector access outside of the NAS.

I was waiting for an external HDD dock to arrive in the mail to be able to test the HDD out of the NAS since I just have a laptop.

I'm using a Orico model 6626C3-C 2 bay dock with external power.

If I plug in the working HDD from the RAID array, the dock beeps, turns on a light on the working bay and the disk appears in Windows, I can access it with HxD.
As soon as I plug in the defective HDD, the light on the working HDD turns off, the dock beeps showing that both HDDs were disconnected and the working HDD disappear from Windows Disk Manager. Defective HDD doesn't get detected if I use it alone and if I plug in the working HDD after the defective one, both doesn't work.

The HDD dock stops working as soon as I plug in the defective unit.

Also, I can hear the disk heads working normally on the non defective unit, but the one that's got the issue just spins, but no noise from the disk heads.

The extra PCB that I ordered also just arrived, but at this point I might assume it is just paper weight?
