Hello, I have an ST4000LM024, it seems to init, but I can't read anything. Does anyone know which utility to start in the pc3k and how to change the head map to read from head 0?

Seagate F3, Work w/ROM.
Logical Head or Max Head.
Careful; not a great idea with this model.
Max Head 1 = H0 and H1.
Logical HM 01 > 10.
Drive uses MC; so it will spaz.

in fact, it is a perfectly horrible idea. Drive does not click, so it offers no advantages, but it is dangerous at least...

Can you read sysfiles? if yes then upload sysfile backup

+1 do not mess with headmap.
Drives is a M11, terminal will probably give you a hint about what´s going on.

I have an identical model plugged in to test with. It goes to that "alternative initialization is possible" dialog box. When it runs, and I try to read the system files, it says "system files not selected" in the terminal.

I get the "error intiializing microcode tables" warning. I tested my terminal connection on another seagate drive, and it works fine there. There's no system files to select if I hit ok with that error.
