I use a USB3.0 case + 2.5" laptop HDD. I used the Windows eject function "safely remove hardware" and the letter E: disappeared from the system. After that, I did not disconnect the USB3.0 cable from the PC/case in sequence. My hand hit the USB case and it moved across the table. Did this impact cause friction between the reading heads and the platters, scratching them?

My 2.5" HDDs are WDC WD10JPVX-08JC3T5, APPLE HDD HTS541010A99E662 and 2016 model Seagate ST500LM030.
The enclosure cases are: Orico 25PW1 black and Kesu 2530

I don't think so, when you unmounted the disk it should have parked the heads or powered down. You would have known by now if the disk is damaged as it won't work when you plug it in again.

Welcome, SonicMario!

Now you virtually relocated from London to Brazil and got yourself a new user name. Do you think that goes unrecognized?

I knew you would come back. Where else have you been? Still no success?

How is your doubt today?
What is if Shane Ward is wrong?

Thanks Shane, you were the only person on this forum who answered any of my questions. You are a serious guy and I like that.
